A Short Guide To Help You Boost Up Your Fire Phone!
Does your Fire phone work more slowly than usual? Do you want to improve the overal performance of your Fire phone or free up some space? How about simply boosting it a bit so that it works as quickly as the day you bought it? No problem!
Many of you asked me these and similar questions, so I did little l research and… here you go. In this short tutorial you will learn 5 easy ways to speed up your Fire phone, improve its response time and overall performance.
Let’s start. Fire up your Fire!
Uninstall Any Unnecessary Apps (You No Longer Use)
This is the most important and usually the first thing you should do if you want to speed up your Fire phone (and in fact any other Android phone). Even if you don’t use some app which is installed on your Fire (and sits in the app grid), it still uses CPU resources (for running in the background) and simply clutters and slows down your Fire phone.
- Go to the app grid (push the home button) and take a look at all the apps installed. Decide which ones you no longer use and can get rid of. When you decide which apps you no longer need or use, uninstall them.
- The easiest way to uninstall multiple apps is by using the Easy Uninstaller app (click to download it from Amazon). All you have to do is download and install the app. Once you open it, you will see the list of apps installed on your Fire phone. Tick the ones you want to remove and click Uninstall. That’s it.

Install An Optimization App
Getting rid of the unnecessary apps isn’t always enough to boost your Fire phone effectively. This is when special optimization apps come in very useful. I recommend the two follwoing apps (use at least one of them if you don’t want to use both of them).
Clean Master Phone Booster
Clean Master Phone Booster is the most popular and the best optimization app for Fire phone and Android phones in general. The app has a few nice features: Junk Files Cleaning (analyzing and cleaning cache and residual files), Memory Boost (lets you shut down problematic apps) and App Manager (where you can manage and uninstall apps on your Fire).
All you have to do install the app (you can download it here) and run it at least once a day.
This app is especially useful for Fire phone owners. As you know Fire phone doesn’t have a back button and you cannot view the list of running apps (like in Android phones).
That’s why Fast Reboot (click here to download the app to your Fire phone) should be present on any Fire phone. This app lets you close and restart applications (and free up memory) within one click. Fast Reboot is also on my list of must-have Fire phone apps.
Restart Your Fire Phone
Sometimes all you have to do if your Fire phone is misbehaving is to restart it. Even if your Fire doesn’t cause any problems, I suggest restarting in once in a couple of days.
To restart your Phone, hold the Power button for 1-2 seconds. When a small menu pop ups, choose Restart.
Your Fire will restart and (most likely) start behaving much better! 🙂
Restore Factory Settings
If somehow none of the above methods helps and your Fire phone is still very slow (much slower than it was when you bought it), it’s time to think about restoring factory settings.
Here’s what you have to do to restore factory setting in your Fire phone:
- Swivel your wrist to access Quick Actions and Notifications.
- Go to Settings > Factory Reset.
- Remember to tick “Back Up Device Before Reset” so that you won’t lose your data. Tap Reset and confirm your choice with OK.
