What To Do If Your Fire Phone Doesn’t Charge
In this short tutorial I will tell you what to do if your Fire phone doesn’t charge and how you should charge your Fire phone correctly.
In most cases the reason why your Fire won’t charge is so trivial that it’s almost funny. Let’s explore the most common scenarios and solutions.
Use The Original Accessories
In theory, your Fire phone is compatible with any micro USB cable or charger. It means that you can use your Samsung Galaxy’s USB cable to connect your Fire to your PC and charge it. You can also use your Nokia Lumia’s charger and connect it to a power outlet.
In practice, however, you will often have problems if you don’t use the original accessories that came together with your phone. Your phone will not charge at all or will charge slowly.
That’s why my piece of advice here is very simple:
- Use only the power adapter and micro-USB cable which came with your Fire phone (you can see them below).
- It’s best to charge your Fire from a power outlet, not from a USB port.
- Make sure that your Micro-USB cable is securely connected to the power adapter and your Fire phone.
Charge Your Fire Phone Correctly
Here are the exact instructions on how to charge your Fire phone:
1.Connect the power adapter and the micro-USB cable to your Fire phone.
2.Connect the power adapted to a power outlet.
3.Your Fire phone should now indicate that it’s charging. If your Fire Phone is charging, you it will look like that:
If your Fire isn’t charging, you won’t see any “lighting” on its battery.
If it isn’t, do the following:
- Unplug the power adapter and restart your Fire phone (press and hold the power button and then choose Restart).
4.Once your Fire phone starts up again, connect the power adapter and the micro USB into your Fire phone and charge until it shows 100%.
What If Your Fire Still Doesn’t Charge
If you have followed all the above instructions and your Fire still isn’t charging, it’s probably because of the USB cable or charger which is faulty.
In this case you should try a different charger to see if your Fire recognizes it. If your Fire doesn’t recognize it ( and other phone does recognize it and is charging through it), it may mean that your Fire phone USB outlet is damaged.
If this is the case, you should have your Fire and its charger serviced (contact Amazon for more details).
