What To Do When Your Fire Phone Won’t Turn On
Have you recently bought your Fire phone and discovered it just won’t turn on? Do you want to know the possible reasons for that? Do you know what to do to solve this problem? Just read on!
In this short tutorial we will talk about one of the most common problems Fire phone users encounter and possible fixes, i.e. what to do if you cannot turn your Fire phone on.
Fire Phone Not Turning On: Possible Reasons
The fact that your Fire phone won’t turn on doesn’t have to mean any serious hardware problem which needs servicing.
Before you panic and send your Fire phone to the manufacturer, read the below list of the possible reasons and solutions. In 95% of cases they solve all the problems!
If none of the below solutions works, you should contact the manufacturer and have your Fire serviced.
One of the most common reasons why you cannot turn your Fire on is that its battery has discharged.
If you have a lot of features turned on (like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Mobile Network), your Fire phone battery will discharge more quickly. There are also many battery-consuming apps which work in the background heavily consuming battery life.

YOUR FIRE PHONE FROZE
Even though Fire phone is really a great phone and its performance is smooth and quick, it may sometimes freeze (e.g. because of some misbehaving app).
You may think that your Fire is turned off but it’s simply frozen and not responding (and only looks as if it was turned off).
FAULTY USB CABLE
One of my visitors also had this type of problem. He couldn’t turn his Fire on. Neither could he charge it. When he connected his Fire phone to its charger, nothing happened.
He was sure that it was some serious hardware problem and wanted to send his Fire phone back to Amazon to fix it.
I advised him to use a different charger (with a different USB cable), and a “miracle” happened. His Fire phone started to charge and he was soon able to turn it on again. 🙂
My Fire Phone Won’t Turn On: Possible Fixes
If your Fire phone isn’t turning on, it’s probably because of one of the above problems. Here you can see the possible solutions:
CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
One of the most obvious solutions is to simply charge your battery. Just connect your Fire phone to its charger and within a few seconds you will see on the screen that it’s charging.
UNFREEZE YOUR FIRE
If your Fire phone froze and isn’t responding, you have to restart it. As it has a non-removable battery, you cannot do that by simply removing the battery and inserting it again.
All you need to do is press and hold the power button for 8-10 seconds until your Fire vibrates and turns off. After it happens, you will be able to turn your Fire on again!
USE A DIFFERENT CHARGER
It’s probable that you cannot turn your Fire on (or charge it) because its charger (or the USB) cable is damaged. What you need to do in this case is use a different standard USB charger.
If your Fire starts to charge (after several seconds), it means that you need to buy a new charger!
